The VG Valiant was built in Australia from August 1970-June 1971, rectangular headlights, taillamps wrapped around the corner, Hemi Six replaces Slant Six.The high performance Pacer; available in sedan and now 2 door hardtop as well. They got more power, better brakes and suspension, sporty interior, red and black grille and side stripes. The A88 option Mod Pack; Black out panels on the bonnet and different side stripes.Pacer available in 4 levels of performance; base; 195 hp with 2 bbl carb, Street PackE35; 198 hp with 4 bbl carb, Street PackE31; 204 hp with 2 bbl carb, Track PackE34: 211 hp with 4 bbl carb, Track PackThese Track Pack cars got wider rims, Finned rear drums, close ratio 3 spd gearbox, oversize pistons, revised camshaft and 35 gal tank. 3385 Pacers Sedans were made and 1162 Hardtops. |
