| 説明 | This was the original "guts" of the military surplus digital indicator. It was full of early, military-spec TTL logic chips, with 1973 date codes. The digital logic board in the center is wire-wrapped, suggesting these devices were likely hand-assembled. This stuff didn't come cheap in the early '70s; original list price was $880. If you look carefully you can see that I've actually got two of them stacked up; I haven't decided what to do with the second unit, yet. It's worth noting that there was enough TTL logic here to build a clock, given a 1 Hz input, some method to set it, and a few more gates to reset it to zero at 24:00:00. I wanted experience with PIC microcontrollers, though, and it really is more efficient to do this with a microprocessor instead of a dozen or so counter ICs. |
