| 説明 | This is the Tap & Spile pub on Gas Street in Birmingham.It is a pair of two Grade II listed buildings from 10 - 16 Gas Street (10 - 12 Gas Street and 14 - 16 Gas Street). This is the Dress Code sign outside The Tap & Spile (so thats where Kate&Drew found it!"No Hats, No Trainers, No Tracksuits. Thank you for you co-operation."And this is that graffiti of peoples heads on the wall.10 - 12 Gas Street:Early C19 altered. Stucco; slate roof. Two storeys; 5 irregular bays.Ground floor with 2 almost square altered windows, the entrance to No 10and the entrance No 12 within a modest doorcase with panelledreveals and flanked on either side by a single sash window with moulded surroundand complete with glazing bars. First floor with 3 almost square alteredwindows and 2 sash windows with moulded surround. The properties back onto the canal where they have a decidedly more warehouse-like appearance withthe fenestration mostly of iron and segment headed.10 - 12 Gas Street - Heritage Gateway14 - 16 Gas Street:Early C19, altered. Brick, the ground floors painted. Two storeys; eachhouse 3 bays. No 14. Ground floor with 2 windows and the door up steps andwithin a modest doorcase with panelled reveals. First floor with 2 windows.All windows sashes with stuccoed cornices on brackets and complete with glazingbars. Dentilled eaves cornice and slate roof. No 16. Ground floor witha simple door and a sash window with stuccoed cornice on brackets. Firstfloor with 2 altered sash windows complete with glazing bars. Parapet. Bothproperties back on to the canal where they appear 3-storeyed. No 14 has adoor up steps within a modest doorcase and segment-headed sash windows allwith glazing bars.
