| 説明 | This plot of land in San Miguel de Salinas is being used to store building materials. Since there is not much building going on, the owner has sensibly converted a corner of the plot into a vegetable garden. He (or she) has cabbages, onions, artichokes, lettuces etc planted carefully in rows. They all seemed to be very healthy and well cared for even in soil that looks very unpromising. When we first arrived, the soil in our garden looked even worse than this. Our soil was just heavy clay with little life in it at all. I dug it over several times and never once found a worm. My neighbour decided the soil we had been given was so bad that it would have to be replaced and proceeded to buy tons of black top soil. A year later, the plants in our garden were at least as good if not better than his. Sometimes you have to have faith! |
