| 説明 | bigwhen i got my first dSLR, i headed straight down to Santa Monica Beach. not only is it one of my very favorite places but you'd be hard pressed not to find something worthy of a good image. a beach, a boardwalk, a Ferris Wheel, beneath the pier, loads of people and more.you think i'd have grown tired of if by now, but you'd be wrong. i suppose i should choose another beach with a different pier. there are dozens of them scattered about Southern California. but i keep going back to Santa Monica. aside from the obvious, i think it's in large part due to the nostalgia. i spent many, many days there as a child with my mom and brother, the games and such on the boardwalk that are decades old and remind me of faded photographs of Coney Island (though i'm well aware, on the whole, it's no Coney Island!), and the smell of cotton candy and saltwater: two of the best scents ever. - for one of bebelabrees list of weekly songs in Musically Challenged.- for round three in FU64 Challenge.____________________"Boats and Birds," by Gregory and the HawkIf you be my star I'll be your skyYou can hide underneath me and come out at nightWhen I turn jet black and you show off your lightI live to let you shineI live to let you shine |
