| 説明 | Pattern: Sheldon the Turtle, by Ruth Homrighaus, Knitty Winter 2006Yarn: a *very* synthetic, glossy tape yarn from my LYS's discount corner. (I love it :-) ... it comes in many very bright colors)Needles: 3,5 mm, 40cm (!) long aluminum needlesModifications: I didn't have enough blue yarn, so the shell bottom is grey rather than blue. Also, I didn't do the i-cord edging but replaced it with a single crochet edge, which is obviously less pretty, but I was lazy.It took me a very long time to finish. Not that it's so much work -- but it was only my second dpn/work-in-the-round knitting project, and it wasn't much fun with those long aluminium dpns.But, the result looks pretty cool! I especially like the patterning on the back of Sheldon's shell.Now, let's hope that the toddler will appreciate him ;-) |
