| 説明 | That's a table in the center used for the education programs at the Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve. It rained hard last week and the river is still up into flood stage. Part of the function of wetlands is to hold some of the flood water from swelled rivers. As the river level lowers the wetlands releases water back into the river. This mitigates the flooding of the river and watershed. It also is a wonderful place for water birds, other birds, beavers, etc. |
