| 説明 | Shanghai is China's most populous city with 35 million inhabitants. The Huang-Po River runs through the city and it's muddy banks, now canalised, form the east and west Bund. The East bund was the centre for international commerce since the 19th Century and hosts many important Art Deco and Neo-Classical buildings, such as The Shanghai Club and the Peace Hotel, which were largely constructed by the nations with trading concerns in Shanghai - Great Britain, New Zealand, Japan, Australia, USA, Holland, Malaysia, India etc... Today most of these are luxury hotels. Facing them across the river are the impossibly high towers of the new Shanghai, the China World Financial Centre complex and the International Convention Centre on a bend in the river. |
