Taken by a Nikon D40x with an 18-55mm Nikkor kit lens. (at 18)Picture is a classic "wedgie"...These locomotives, and their sisters, usually in a similar ABA consist, pulled the WP's famous "California Zephyr" from Salt Lake City, UT (taking over from the Denver & Rio Grande Western) to Oakland, CA, down (or up, depending on direction...) the Feather River canyon. Petition Amtrak to change their version of the Zephyr from Donner Pass to the canyon! The Canyon has far more spectacular scenery... |
