| 説明 | A curious type of ladybird that I've never seen before. Found her walking on a log in the woods.After doing a little research, it seems that it is a Calvia decemguttataApparently it's not really a UK breed and is found only sporadically throughout the country. It makes sense that it was where it was, however, as the larvae depend on lime trees, and there were a lot of those around.Another interesting this is that it is a fungus eating ladybird. I never knew that such a thing existed. I always thought that ladybirds only ate aphids, but this one is particularly fond of mildew. |
