| 説明 | This crucifix had been carved from Iona marble for the oratory in the Catholic House of Prayer, Iona. It had been sent to Glasgow to be mounted, but on the way back, it broke. Instead of carving another one, it was decided to mend this one , as a symbol of the healing and mending of the broken people who come to Iona serching for peace and healing. If you look very carefully, you may just see the mended crack where the round part of the cross joins the upright. St Columba (somewhat dwarfed), stands beside it. |
