| 説明 | -Heart Art, Two Art,Red Art, Blue Art,Question Art, Qs Art,Eyes Art, News Art-This is the first (and very likely the only ever) example of new kind of mashup I call"Interestingness Art"-In my never-ending journey to understand the Flickr "Interestingness" algorithm better, I have been working for some time to get my own "most interesting" images to appear in a particular order when viewed by "interestingness." After a while, I realized that the balance I was trying to achieve in the order of these images could create a wonderful parody of Dr. Seuss's One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish.So I tried to influence the "interestingness" of my top 8 pieces to create the one-dimensional mosaic, with accompanying poem created by the pieces' titles, that you see above.-Thanks to all of you who helped me shape this piece!-OK, OK. I must add one thing: I have a confession to make!DISCLAIMER: The "News Art" - the last line of the poem - sailed up my interestingness list to position 9 fairly quickly, with all of your help. And then it just got stuck there! Meanwhile, two of the other pieces in this list did very well for different reasons, and they skipped to one place above where I needed them to be. I could have put a damper on the rise of those two pieces, but I decided that I was so close to being finished with this piece, I would let them be, and see how things looked when News Art finally hit interestingness place #8. Unfortunately, position 9 is the highest I was able to get it, and just yesterday, it started to fall!So, to get this experimental piece (which was intended merely to give you a good laugh!) over with, I admit I doctored the screen shot above! The first seven pieces were each regularly in the position shown not too long ago, so I don't feel too guilty about making the two small corrections necessary for my Dr. Seuss poem. But number 8 only EVER made it as high as #9 in my own personal interestingness list, and the only way I could have fixed that in time would have been to take down the mosaic of my beautiful niece - and I just couldn't bring myself to do that!!!! -(Note: it recently occurred to me that I could also have taken down the "Eyes Art" piece instead, making the end of this poem: "Niece Art, News Art" which has a nice ring to it! But I was trying to play under the rule that I could only promote images, not demote them. If I hadn't played by that rule, then the above order would have been achieved easily a month ago! Lesson: it is much easier to force a LOSS of interestingness than a GAIN in interestingness!)-So forgive the minor sleight of hand here! I hope, in addition to now being certain that I'm completely crazy, you enjoy the concept behind this piece and the silly bit of self-mockery in the associated poem.
