| 説明 | bulrush, Scirpus microcarpus, Nevada, White Mountains, Middle Creek, Fishlake Valley drainage, elevation 2175 m (7135 ft).Moving now to the northeast side of the White Mountains in Nevada, for a foray up Middle Canyon in search of whitebark pine, which has been found just across the California line in this drainage. No luck on the Nevada side, but saw lots of other entertaining things.This bulrush species is widespread in permanently wet places throughout western and northern North America, and into northern Mexico and northeastern Asia. It only inhabits the wettest places at middle elevations in the White Mountains. |
