| 説明 | Philipsburg has three main streets parallel to the water. The first is the street along the beach, with the hotels. Front Street is next, with shops for tourists. Then comes Back Street, which is the main street for the local black population. Philipsburg is one of the few places where I saw the local population in native surroundings. In most places, we learn that they live "over the hill," or somewhere else that tourists do not see. Philipsburg is too small for that sort of geographic distinction. |
