| 説明 | Symbolically I also took my boots off. As I'd walked into Carlisle, I'd made a difficult decision. The leather had cracked during the West Highland Way, and had got worse whilst I was on the Cumbria Way. At various points the leather was really coming away, exposing the Gore Tex underneath and letting in water at many an opportunity With a heavy heart, I'd made a decision. This would be their last walk. I'd be leaving for London. But my boots would not. They'd stay behind in Carlisle. Probably to find a new home in that rubbish dump near the end of the Cumbria Way.
