| 説明 | St. Paul, MinnesotaMarch 24, 2018About 3000 people gathered at Harriet Island Park and later became over 10,000 people marching through St. Paul to demand lawmakers take action on gun law reform. The protesters gathered at Harriet Island Park and then marched through downtown St. Paul to the Minnesota capitol building. This protest was largely in response to the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida and shootings that continue to occur since that shooting. Protesters demanded background checks on all gun purchases, bans on assault rifles, and bans on large capacity ammunition magazines. A common sentiment expressed was that politicians offering thoughts and prayers after shootings is not enough. This event was in conjunction with a rally in Washington D.C. and with other rallies in across the country.2018-03-24 This is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution License.
