| 説明 | Provost Gray, officials and Chief Inspector Andrew MacLean (Inverness Police Area Commander), and local councillors come thorugh the parade and enter the Church grounds. Sunday 13th September 2009 - the annual Kitrking of the Council (City of Inverness members of Highland Council). Reviviing an old tradtion whereby the elected embmers are escorted to the Old High Church in Inverness City Centre where, in the words of Provost Jimmy Gray: "an historic yet very meaningful occasion, when councillors and officials annually commit themselves to serving the people of Inverness in a very public way."The parade is escorted by the combined Pipe Band of NORTHERN CONSTABULARY and INVERNESS ROYAL BRITISH LEGION.www.highland.gov.uk/yourcouncil/news/newsreleases/2009/Au... |
