| 説明 | "Metcalfe Foods Ltd. Deseronto"The staff of Metcalfe Foods in around 1938. This firm had two sites in Deseronto, Ontario: one at the bottom of Mill Street and the other at the east end of the town on Highway 2.There are three copies of this image in the Archives. This one was donated by Sharon Mortimer, whose great-uncle, Sidney James [Jim] Sager, appears in this photograph. He was born in 1905 and died on February 7 2001. He lived on Thomas Street in Deseronto, Ontario and worked for Metcalfe Foods all his working life.The names that appear in the notes on the photograph were supplied by Floyd Marlin, who also appears in the photo (at the very back, just right of centre, in a white shirt). His spellings have been used.
