| 説明 | Operated by 610sqn based at RAF Acklington.Crashed 30th September 1940 after a mid-air collision with Spitfire K9818. The pilot of L1037, Sgt H.R.Clarke, bailed out and survived without major injury. Sadly, P/O F.H.Bacon, the pilot of K9818, was unable to bail out and was killed.L1037 crashed near Alnmouth. The remains were excavated on 4th June 1995 and are now on display (behind glass) in the Bamburgh Castle Aviation Artefacts Museum,Bamburgh Castle, Northumberland, UK.12th September 2017 |
