説明 | A very rare beast indeed. The only surviving PKP Tr7 Class 2-8-0 No.T7-3 at Jaworzyna Slaska Museum Depot, 22 November 2017. 4 were built in 1940-41 by Orenstein & Koppel for the Tanko Coal Mining Co. of Manchuria but the war prevented their delivery via Russia, so they were taken over by the DRB as Class 56.41 and worked in occupied Poland (the former Prussian part). In 1945 they were taken over by the PKP. The last was withdrawn in 1972. They were a development of the DRG Class 56.20 (KPEV Class G8.2). They had 4'5" driving wheels, 37 sq.ft. grate area, 25"x26" cylinders, 199 psi boiler pressure and weighed about 82 tons. |
