| 説明 | Hi there, my name is Walker, it's surprising they didn't name me Runner, since that's what I used to do, try to run away from people. I sure understand Lindsay's and Ol’ Geezer’s story. The loud noise of guns always scared me, even when I was a little puppy. They would tie me up and hit me and kicked me and try to drag me into woods where they were making those loud noises. I cringe just thinking about those days. Sometimes we dogs have a rough life. I never could get used to that gunshot sound, and the last time I tried to run away from a gun, my human shot me. You can still see the huge scar on my back. I tried to make it on my own, too scared to go back home, but too weak and too sick to be able to find food. Finally I crawled home, still bleeding, maggots, and a horrible infection. I was hoping maybe, just maybe my human would be glad to see me. But he kicked me, tied a rope around my neck, tossed me in the truck, and took me to “The Pound”, and said to them, “maybe you can finish the job I started”. It was so scary there, all these dogs were barking and crying. I heard about some of the things that happen in places like this. Every time a human would come to look at me, I would hide in the back. They kept saying to me, “Walker, if you act like that, you'll never get a home.” And one day they put me in a truck again, I shook in terror. That's when I ended up at Rikki's Refuge. Nobody here tries to hit me or scare me in any way. They feed me every day. They let me play happily with other dogs. And slowly but surely, I'm starting to make friends with them. I think I may have met people I can trust! I'm almost too shy to ask, but wouldn't you like to make me your Valentines Neuter? For only $99, you can make me a very happy pup.
