| 説明 | The latin name of this strange plant translates to bloody flesh-like thing. Interesting biologically for parasitizing a symbiosis: snow plants have no chlorophyll and derive nutrition from the symbiotic soil fungi of nearby pine trees, who in turn get their nutrition from the photosynthesis of the pine trees whose root system they extend. A funky little threesome. |
