| 説明 | The pool aside, the rest of the park was delightfully wooded, a cool respite amidst greenery on an otherwise hot day. This is our pit stop and tea break (and cigarette break for my guide and driver) on our long drive from Shemakha to Sheki. A relatively small city, Sheki has a population of about 63,000. It's situated in northern Azerbaijan in the southern part of the Greater Caucasus mountain range, 325km (201 mi) from Baku and not far south of the Georgian border. Much of Sheki is at an altitude of about 500mtr though many surrounding peaks top 3,000mtr in height. (Shemakha (Shamakhi), Azerbaijan, Sept. 2017) |
