| 説明 | This time our driver Bilal wanted a picture with me for his records. He later told my guide Ibrahim that he was very pleased with my kindness. Basically, I'd tipped Bilal for the rough ride to the mud volcanoes the previous day (see my Gobustan album), paid for all meals and also for a massage from him the previous evening as he had been driving all day. This morning he had been touched at my buying shoes from an old man in the Sheki market and now by my insisting on having some tea from the lady who had scrambled a lot to light up the samovar and prepare some tea for us. So Bilal said he wanted a picture of me for his record. Well, my turn to be touched, I guess! That is the Hyundai Accent car I had at my disposal for two full days during my stay in Azerbaijan. The car was very well maintained but appeared to be a bit underpowered when it came to climbing steep roads like we saw in Kish and on the unsealed rough roads on the way to the Gobustan mud volcanoes.
