| 説明 | More close ups of the Monarch caterpillars. I find it curious that their heads are covered with the same orange goo that fills the aphids. I will have to watch closely to see if the caterpillars eat any of the aphids. According to what I have read they do not. All the aphids I have seen on milkweed are an orange variety. I have not seen many ants or ladybugs which often interact with aphids on other plants. Perhaps milkweed toxin effects this balance. |
