| 説明 | On Friday September 8th 2017 my family and I had the pleasure of joining a very special birthday party:#ESOC50"Europe's gate to space - ESA's operations centre in Darmstadt celebrated 50 years of challenging missions in Earth observation, planetary exploration, astronomy, navigation,..."#ESOC50www.esa.int/ger/ESA_in_your_country/Germany/Lange_Nacht_d...Our little son @LightspeedLeo, his travelbuddy @PinkLilDragon and our guest @CamillaSpace really did enjoy this very special "Open Day and Night" #LangeNachtDerSterne. And meeting some our friends there again was the cherry on our cake.We have been at #ESOC a few times before and thanks to our friends Daniel Scuka, Rainer Kresken, Marco Zambianchi and others we and some of our friends got private tours to the INSIDE the holy grail - Mission Control Room - and other amazing spaces, which already are unforgettable memories for all of us.Now seeing the curiosity and the sparkling eyes of all the visitors, young and old, was amazing.For @LightspeedLeo it was a real pleasure to "see" his big friend Paolo Nespoli again.With sparkling eyes he watched Paolo floating through the #ISS - the astronaut whom he had met the first time in 2011 at age of 10 months during the #1stEuropeanSpaceTweetup and with whom he built sugar rockets during #ISSBerlin in 2012 ;-)#CiaoDarmstadtCiaoESOC @astro_paolo live from the #ISSwww.youtube.com/watch?v=kM-e7j-3dTMAnother highlight was to see #Rosetta and #Philae again and to listen to Paolo Ferri during his live-talk in #ESA's press room, where we had last been together during the talk of our dear friend and @MeteoriteMen @geoffnotkin back in November 2015. We followed @ESA_Rosetta mission closely since #WakeUpRosetta on Jan 20th 2014 and it became very dear to our hearts. Especially thanks to an adorable youtube-comic series by @esaabout the lovely tales of @ESA_Rosetta and her little travelbuddy @Philae_2014The amazing adventures of Rosetta and PhilaeWe LOVED watching them and this way to share missions with the public really is precious and we hope there will be more like this.www.youtube.com/watch?v=HD2zrF3I_IIAnd it was a very special moment, when together with our friends we joined around the desk of #FOD #FlightOperationsDirector @AndreaAccomazzo, thinking about what he and his team have accomplished there. And having the chance to meet him in person later in 2017 was even better.
