| 説明 | By the end of the 1800’s Toledo, Ohio was thriving, and they built a large steam plant in downtown by the river to generate electricity to power the trolley cars that shuttled people throughout the busy streets. In 1985 the steam plant was shut down because the modern buildings did not use steam anymore. The steam plant sat empty until PROMEDICA, my employer now, turned the whole complex into a 21st century office workplace. When you first walk into the new reception lobby, inspired by birds in flight, you look up and see a sculpture of 6,000 translucent glass spheres, representing individual elements all working in harmony. It is amazing how they beautified the whole waterfront. |
