| 説明 | Parga is a beautiful little town on the Westcoast. Even in May there are huge amounts of tourists, as Parga is called a pearl in most tourist guides. When we arrfived in Parga, the open air market was just finished and some touring busses with Greek teenagers had just arrived and the kids were showing off towards each other and other young ones. To keep the Tuks away, Parga was put under Venetian protection in 1401. After the fall of Venice, Parga and other Venetian properties were taken over by Great Brittain. The British preferred to sell Parga to Ali Pasha instead of pretecting it against the Turks. All the inhabitants moved away to the islands, to escape the Turks. |
