| 説明 | First of all, I was pleased that my reflection wasn't evident after producing this pic...! When this composition caught my eye in Mexico City, I was immediately struck by the story behind it. The shoes, representing liberal arts, representing hard times, reminding me of Mayan or Aztec footwear, and the looming church, synonymous with a conservative opulence and influence. The shoes are kept behind glass and speaks loudly of the (sometimes) overbearing dominance of right -winged Catholicism in Latin America. Perhaps the obvious tones of this photograph have been overstated through this description, or maybe not. It's one of my personal faves. |
