| 説明 | The fires of the night of St John: a festival held on the 23rd June (summer solstice and of the shortest night of the year). The festival features the Flama del Canigó (Canigó Flame). A fire is lit on the summit of Mount Canigou in the French Pyrenees. From there, the flame of Canigou is taken down to the plain, and into villages throughout the area.The flame is used to light a fire in the square, then the celebrations begin. There was a fantastic firework display and laser show at the Casillet. |
