| 説明 | With the commissioning of the Furka Base Tunnel in 1982, the year-round operation with trains over the Oberalp Pass was also taken up. This 730 m long avalanche gallery along the lake Oberalp is one of the longest of the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn. It also covers the pass road, which however is closed in winter. The Oberalp Pass at 2033 m ü.M./6670 ft ASL is the highest point that the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn goes across. This photo was taken from the train, not on the tracks.
