| 説明 | This is a pretty massive panorama of the tall ridge that stands between the San Gabriel Valley and the Mt Baldy area. I would expect such a prominent ridge to have its own name, but I can't find one on the topo maps, so I call it Ontario Peak Ridge. Ontario Peak (8,693 feet) is the tallest point on the ridgeline, which is anchored to the right (east) by Bighorn Peak (8,441 feet). Mt Baldy (10,064 feet) and her sister peaks are in the background.Load the original size for lots of detail. Working out which of the bumps on the ridge is Ontario Peak can be tricky. You look for the distinctive pointy rock or summit snag, which are visible from quite far away. |
