| 説明 | Halberds (ji) probably developed from the dagger-ax by introducing a spear-like head to the top of the shaft. In contrast to dagger axes, halberds offered more versatility and allowed the user to thrust the weapon forward. This proved extremely effective and by the Han dynasty the halberd had replaced the dagger-ax as the main weapon of the military.Photographed at the "Tomb Treasures" exhibit at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco, California. |
