| 説明 | This old house is at 30 Jury Street in Warwick.(or 20 Jury Street).Grade II listed. 30, Warwick - British Listed Buildings1.1781 JURY STREET(South Side)No 30(formerly listed asEastgate House)SP 2864 NW 1/129 10.1.53.II GV2.Possibly the work of Archer. Early C18, 2 storey plus attic and basement,3 window facade of ashlar sandstone. Upper part suffers through lack ofparapet (and/or cornice at eaves) which appears to have been removed.Pilasters between bays have moulded bases. Tuscan capitals have beenremoved. Sashes in cased frames with keyblocks. Central 6-fielded-panelleddoor with fanlight has moulded stone eared architrave with key blocks andentablature. Central window opening on first floor also has moulded stonearchitrave, eared, small sash window (no glazing bars) to right hand sideof entrance. Three later gabled dormers in roof of old tiles. Good wroughtiron lamp sconce on garden wall. Modern canted stone bay to left of groundfloor. Lower back wing. Interior: C18 panellins and ? powder closet.All the listed buildings on the south side form a group.Or it might be no 6 (can see a few 6's on it). But the real 6 Jury Street is further up the road, so can't be this. |
