| 説明 | The name Sugar really suited our guide as she really was as sweet as sugar. Seeing me struggling to get good pictures of the local schoolgirls in ethnic costumes, she asked me if I wanted her to talk to them and request them to let me take a shot of them. No, don't worry I said. That would have meant a posed shot, so no fun at all. I'd got my keepers by then, of which this is the third. The girl at the extreme right eyes me suspiciously, but as she had seen me cavorting around for several minutes pointing my camera in all directions, including hers, she didn't react. I prefer these photos only, all candid and casual. A posed picture would have been no fun at all. Still, it was so sweet of Sugar to ask. (Longji Rice Terraces, near Guilin, China, May 2017) |
