Production started in 1992 in semi-knock down kits and full local production commenced in 1996. The China-only Fukang sedan, named Fukang 988, arrived in 1998. The Fukang hatchback continued to be sold until 2009, when it was replaced by the C-Elysée hatchback, a heavily revamped version of the Fukang. Production of the old C-Elysée was finally halted in 2013. |
