| 説明 | East German wine was a real surprise in Weimar. I drank this wine in the Hotel Thüringen dining room - maybe every evening during my stay. It is from a vineyard near Naumburg, on the Saale River in Sachsen-Anhalt, not far from Weimar. The vineyard is owned by the Land (state) government. It is white wine, similar to Mosel wine, but probably from Weissburgunder (white burgundy) grapes. The vineyard was planted in 1992-1994, after the end of the East German communist regime. |
