| 説明 | Jaime "Ka Jimmy" Tadeo began his odyssey as the Philippines' most recognizable peasant leader when he quit his government job in 1979 to join a cooperative. He led the first peasant protest rally in 1981 since martial law was declared in 1972, and was in the frontline as the leader of the Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas when the infamous Mendiola Massacre took place in 1987. He was imprisoned on trumped-up estafa charges in 1990 after symbolically closing the Department of Agrarian Reform in protest of its failure to implement a meaningful agrarian reform program and was released on parole after 3 years only to find a fragmented peasant movement. Ka Jimmy today chairs the National Council of Rice Farmers and advocates organic farming as the spokesperson of Go Organic! Philippines.Nikon D40 (Go Organic!
