| 説明 | 365for perfect days~mother's day 2009 - wedding anniversary #12..it was such a wonderful afternoon we all spent together - the weather was extraordinary and we left much to serendipity and spontaneity .. as many of us do, we rarely take the time to see our own city or town from a different perspective .. many of us become locked into our schedules and habits making it a challenge to see our home from a unique point of view .. we decided to head downtown and see what delights would come our way:city.bus tour of the highlights - it's free AND a hybrid bus, to boot!no watches/cellphones to check the timeb pulled the yellow cord when it suited her and we all hopped off .. no certain place - no certain timewe headed to this field (i learned i can STILL do a cartwheel!) surrounded by legislative and government buildings .. nothing too deep was discussed although we did talk about law.making, education, and obama*we discovered never.before.experienced city.arta secret and forgotten gardenkiwi took pictures of birdsb found a ladybugwe all gazed up at a tall building from up close instead of hopping back on the bus to complete our route, we decided to walk instead, working up enough sweat to REALLY enjoy the ice.cream treat from turkish delightsthe walk yielded it's own treasures .. a beehive/mockingbird debate (nature - LIVE!), new buildings to discover, the place where dad used to work ("remember when you were little and we'd come here to see him?) ... . .i am so GRATEFUL for my family and for our home - for the beauty that really.truly does exist everywhere .. even in our own hometown there is always something new to discover and enjoying it all together is the icing on the cake * |
