| 説明 | A lass in ethnic clothing welcomes you when you enter the complex at the Shangri La Resort. She was rather self conscious, or shy, and absolutely refused to smile, though she did nod and acknowledge when I pointed to my camera and asked if I could take a picture of her. She is welcoming us with real microscopic cups of rice wine. I've experienced these tiny cups in Kota Kinabalu in 2013 and was to experience them again the following day in Longji. And no, she is not carrying a fly swatter. That diamond shaped thingy is the embroidery on her dress and she is tugging at the two threads hanging from it. probably due to nervousness. Most of the art and culture represented here in the Shangri La Resort is from the Miao, Yao, Dong and Zhuang minorities. (Shangri La River Resort, Yangshuo, Guilin, China, May 2017) |
