| 説明 | Shots taken on a snow mobile tour of the Mýrdalsjökull glacier in Iceland, which sits on top of an active volcano called Katla.The glacier here looks like normal snow - our guide estimated that the snow actually goes some 30 metres down - from there it is compressed enough by the weight of the snow above that it becomes ice. The full depth of the glacier is approximately 750m. |
