| 説明 | Ash Cave Falls in the scenic Hocking Hills of southeastern Ohio consists of a single drop of about 90 feet. It starts at the rim of an overhanging cliff (rock shelter, or "recess cave") called Ash Cave.The rocks are part of the Lower Mississippian Black Hand Sandstone. The unit consists of quartzose sandstones and pebbly sandstones. It was traditionally interpreted as an ancient delta deposit, but modern work has shown it is an incised valley fill complex. |
