| 説明 | An old granite curb surrounding a family plot at Woodland Cemetery in Cleveland, Ohio, in the United States.Woodland Cemetery was once one of the most beautiful in the nation, featuring a Gothic Revival chapel, two ornate fountains, a fish pond, cindered walkways, and extensive drives. All drives had granite curbs, and all plots had granite curbs like these.The cemetery was allowed to go to rack and ruin by the city beginning about 1900. Grass took over all the paths and roads and nearly all the granite curbs were removed (sometimes by thieves). Only after 2010 did the city begin to pay attention again to Woodland, and only after extensive public pressure. |
