| 説明 | EXPLORE HANDEL’S DUBLINThe Dublin Handel Festival takes place every April to illustrate the connections between George Friedrich Handel and the City of Dublin. This year marks the 250th Anniversary of Handel’s death and Temple Bar Cultural Trust in association with Dublin City Council have put together a week long programme of events, which includes an exploratory tour of Handel’s Dublin. Monday, 13th April at 11am - ‘Handel’s Dublin – Then & Now’. Meet at Jervis LUAS stop, Upper Abbey Street, Dublin 1. The tour will finish at Fishamble Street by 1pm, in time for all to enjoy a performance of ‘Messiah on the Street’ by Our Lady’s Choral Society. This classic piece will be performed beside the original site where the Messiah received its world premiere in 1742!All of our historical walking tours last about 2 hours and are led by acclaimed historian, author, artist and tour guide, Pat Liddy. Pat has been instrumental in promoting the City’s heritage and history through his various involvements with literature, the media and the arts. A fountain of knowledge on all things Dublin! |
