| 説明 | The Trek 2000 trip to Madagascar with the Rainforest Foundation.This was in the garden of the Hotel du Lac in Fianarantsoa.Excerpt from "Mad in Madagascar" ...It was all going wrong. Travel stress had set in. Nothing would even remotely fit in the rucksack - yet it had all gone in once. The sandals were the last straw and I threw them across the room, cursing their existence. In my urgency to get the zip done up, I wrenched off the little tab - which meant I could no longer use the padlock to secure the rucksack. Both the tab and the padlock went flying across the room after the sandals - then I got even more steamed up trying to find them somewhere under Lesley's bed. Lesley vey diplomatically ignored it all. In the end I got out my ball of yellow string and tied my sandals onto my day-sack - along with my fleece and my Arab scarf plus one of my water bottles. I shoved the lot outside on the porch and went to take a few photos and generally cool off. Lesley breathed a huge sigh of relief and carried on with her packing in peace.'Lee, quick - I need your camera urgently.' Chris had found a Praying Mantis on a Euphorbia which had got him rather overexcited. |
