| 説明 | A recently installed boiler at Camp Ederle in Vicenza, Italy, includes a cogeneration unit that simultaneously produces heat and power by using the escaping “waste heat” from electricity production to produce steam that helps heat the installation. The contract, executed by Siemens AG, is currently the largest ESPC contract in Europe. Other than a small supervision and administrative cost funded by the garrison, all costs were funded by Siemens. The contract stipulates that the garrison will continue to pay its average energy costs, with the difference funding Siemens until all costs are paid off. (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers photo) |
