説明 | President of the State of Delaware, signer of the of the Declaration of Independence, Caesar Rodney is honored with a statue in Rodney Square in Wilmington.History has it that two delegates from Delaware were deadlocked on whether or not to vote for independence, so Caesar Rodney rode 80 miles overnight through a thunderstorm on the night of July 1, 1776, while ill, to cast a deciding vote in favor of the Declaration.
