| 説明 | A class 23 (later 023) steam locomotive in Heilbronn station yard. It was one of the few German steam locomotives developed after World War II. 105 examples were built between 1950 and 1959. Class 23 had a 2-6-2 (1 C 1) wheel arrangement, and was used mainly for passenger trains.Heilbronn was one of the few places where the Deutsche Bundesbahn operated a lot of steam locomotives in 1970. The main line south to Stuttgart had been electrified for many years. Other lines, including the line to Heidelberg along the Neckar River and the main line north to Würzburg, had not been electrified. |
