| 説明 | This car was owned by Alf Haden, the old gentleman at the wheel. He had had it since it was almost new and it was his pride & joy. He used to be an aero mechanic in the RAF and he used to service vintage cars in the Leigh area as a side line. I felt very privileged to be allowed to drive it. The car had rod operated drum brakes so stopping wasn't quite as certain as it is with a new car.Photo taken at a small garage off Twist Lane, Leigh, where the roundabout is now.I wonder where it is now? |
