| 説明 | I worked in this building 2000-2003. Then the firm moved to a tower in Canary Wharf. It had internal atria but nothing was done to make them especially interesting except for functioning as light wells.The building is divided into a north and a south tower, with connections between the two only through floors two to seven and at basement level where the staff restaurant was.The basement also offered a gym with squash court and swimming pool.The view from the top floor conference room was magnificent (with windows to the east, west and south, not north if I recall correctly.)The move to Canary Wharf offered a modern office environment and improved facilities. The cost per square metre was a fraction of what the firm was paying in The City and the building had enough space to accommodate those teams that did not fit into 200 Aldersgate. The building has remained empty since then although there are plans to turn it into combined office / residences.The fact that the building number was 200 was probably not a coincidence as the roman numeral for 200 is CC. At one point the firm's New York office was at 200 Park Ave. |
